Terms of Service
By using our service, you are agreeing to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Using our Service
You must follow any policies made available to you within the Service. Don't misuse our Services. For example, don't interfere with our Services or try to access them using a method other than the interface and the instructions that we provide.
Your Account
To use our service, you will need to create an account. You are responsible for the activity that happens on or through your account. We only require a display name, which does not need to be your real name, and a secure login token to operate your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should have parental permission to use our service, especially for real-time chat and gaming features. If we discover that a user under 13 has created an account, we will terminate the account immediately.
Data Usage
We use the data you provide to us to make the product work better for you and for our other users. This includes using data for research and development to improve our offerings. We are not interested in your personal data beyond what is necessary to provide and improve the service.
Modifying and Terminating our Services
We are constantly changing and improving our Services. We may add or remove functionalities or features, and we may suspend or stop a Service altogether.
User Conduct and Content
When using our service, you agree not to engage in harmful behavior including harassment, hate speech, impersonation, cheating, or sharing inappropriate content. This is especially important in our real-time chat and gaming features where behavior affects other participants immediately. You retain ownership of any content you create, but grant us a limited license to display and use your content as necessary to operate the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.
For real-time gaming features: Do not disrupt ongoing games, respect other players' time and efforts, do not attempt to manipulate dice rolling systems, and maintain appropriate communication in chat channels. Campaign organizers (GMs) have authority to manage their campaigns and may remove disruptive participants.
Third-Party Services
Our service may integrate with third-party tools and services to provide authentication, analytics, or other features. We are not responsible for the terms, policies, or actions of these third-party services. Please review their terms separately.
Limitation of Liability
We provide our service "as is" and make no warranties about its availability or performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we limit our liability for any damages or losses you may experience from using our service. This includes but is not limited to data loss, service interruptions, or indirect damages.
Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with us, we encourage you to contact us first to resolve it informally. For any legal disputes that cannot be resolved informally, you agree to resolve them through binding arbitration rather than in court, and you waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits. This helps keep legal costs reasonable for everyone.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts or arbitration proceedings located there.
About these Terms
We may modify these terms or any additional terms that apply to a Service to, for example, reflect changes to the law or changes to our Services. You should look at the terms regularly. We'll post notice of modifications to these terms on this page. If you continue to use our service after changes are posted, you accept the updated terms.
